Honestly, with 10% unemployment, shouldn’t he be having unemployment summits instead of health care summits? I know I’d rather have a job and no healthcare than healthcare and no job.

Since your are a Contractor, meaning self employed, unless you paid into Unemployment Insurance Plan, you are NOT eligible to collect

uh…you won’t get it for quitting unless you can prove a hostile work environment; and you won’t get it for being fired in prretty much any case.

I have just received a decision that I will be getting unemployment benefits. However, there was a stretch of time that I did not certify weekly. I did not know the importance of certifying every week at the time. I was told to write a letter to them. What are my chances that I would be paid for the weeks I did not certify. yes, but try to work as long as possible as unemployment goes by
quarters, so they would look at march-june.
